Rivers and Brooks

Rivers and Brooks

Nerwfoundland Labrador has many rivers and brooks cutting through the landscape. I was born in a three bedroom house, next to The Mill Brook in Creston South (now Marystown). I spent many hours exploring every part of this river. We swam in what was left of a dam that was made for the old mill. I caught many meals of pan sized trout in the brook. Those were fun and happy days.

When I was ten, we moved into Manuel’s and Manuel’s River became the place to swim, trout and explore.

The first three photos were taken from various stops on The Manuel’s River Walking Trail.
